2023年3月，塔里木油田巴音郭楞蒙古自治州尉犁县10万千瓦光伏发电项目一次性并网成功。自此，塔里木油田新能源一路“光”速前进，先后在巴州、喀什两地建成4座总装机规模130万千瓦的集中式光伏电站，晋级新能源“百万”梯队，占中国石油在运光伏项目装机规模的1/4，全年最大绿电生产能力达24亿千瓦时。
除了集中式光伏电站外，塔里木油田还建成了总装机规模6.32万千瓦的分布式光伏电站。由阳光转化的10亿千瓦时电能，6%为油田自发自用，其余94%全部对外输送供应，在降低自身能耗及碳排放的同时，点亮了千家万户。
塔里木油田充分利用新疆“风光”资源优势，正加快建设环塔里木盆地千万千瓦“沙戈荒”新能源基地。今年8月，塔里木油田位于库尔勒市上库高新区的130万千瓦光伏项目全面正式开工。
目前，项目桩基工程基本完工，下一步全面进入光伏支架、太阳能光伏板安装以及电缆铺设等施工阶段，预计12月15日具备并网发电条件。项目建成后对推动绿色低碳转型、扩大清洁能源外供、助力经济民生改善具有重大意义。此项目位于库尔勒市以西65千米处，总占地面积3.5万亩，由光伏场区、2座220千伏升压站、13万千瓦/26万千瓦时超大型储能电站等组成，是塔里木油田首个百万千瓦级整装光伏项目。项目建成后，预计年均生产绿色电能21亿千瓦时，减排二氧化碳164万吨。
