本月，在海拔超过4700米的纳木错中心湖区，多国联合科考队经过不懈努力，成功在湖底深度402.2米的地方获取了湖泊岩芯。这是我国首次在青藏高原大湖钻探中成功突破400米深度，对我国湖泊钻探与古气候的研究具有重要意义。

通过湖泊岩芯开展的不同时间尺度的古气候重建研究，可以让我们深入了解过去的气候环境状况，本次湖泊钻探为破译青藏高原过去百万年以来气候环境变化研究提供新的科学依据。
纳木错水上钻探平台
纳木错位于青藏高原腹地，是全国水容量最大的湖泊，也是世界上面积超过1000平方公里的湖泊中海拔最高的湖泊。纳木错是一个封闭湖泊，湖泊中的水流不出湖盆，是整个流域的最低处，因此是流域内岩石、土壤、植被、河流及人类活动等信息的聚集地，具有重要科学研究意义。
此次纳木错湖泊岩芯钻探，是迄今为止国际大陆科学钻探计划（ICDP）中海拔最高的钻探项目，钻探平台及主要钻探技术人员均来自我国，采集的湖泊岩芯将在我国永久保留。此次钻探深度取得突破，为我国今后湖泊钻探高水平研究奠定了基础，提高了中国科研人员在国际科研合作项目中的话语权和影响力。
