雨水节气的含义是降雨开始
降雨量级多以小雨或毛毛细雨为主
俗话说“春雨贵如油”
适宜的降水对农作物的生长很重要

既不是 从此开始下雨
更不是 从此下的就都是雨
立春后继而为雨水。
且东风既解冻，
则散而为雨矣。
雨水是二十四节气中的第二个节气，在每年的正月十五前后(公历2月18日至20日，今年为2月19日)。因此时气温回升、冰雪融化、降水增多，故名为雨水。
雨水分为三候，一候獭祭鱼，二候鸿雁来，三候草木萌动。
此节气，水獭开始捕鱼了，将鱼摆在岸边如同先祭后食的样子;五天过后，大雁开始从南方飞回北方;再过五天，在"润物细无声"的春雨中，草木随地中阳气的上腾而开始抽出嫩芽。从此，大地渐渐开始呈现出一派欣欣向荣的景象。
好雨知时节，当春乃发生
立春过后，东风解冻
飘雪无声化作延绵春雨
细雨沁入暖泥
草木轻悄悄地探出芽尖
从雨水开始，一切冬天的硬朗都会化作柔软的甘露落下
